| These current mixed media pieces are the result of close observation and contemplation of the interior life, as expressed by the subtleties in the human face Hopefully the observer will be fascinated by the various layers and textures, which are meant to coincide with the vast changes and layers of human thought and expression By allowing the observer to see what the work is made of (layers of paper, crayon, ink, paint) there is a tactile experience and, hopefully, a wish to “become involved”, even though it is impossible to actually touch the pieces These are done with an instinctual, intuitive, passionate eye.
